The #1 cause of injuries is overexertion. Lifting, pulling, pushing, carrying & throwing. The nationwide direct cost is over $10.3 billion and indirect costs can amount to $9.8 billion.

Our goal is to reduce work injuries & control the costs incurred. One injury can cost a million $. By giving injury prevention talks to groups of workers, injuries can be contained at an affordable rate & can save $4-6 for every $1 invested.

Every year up to 50% of the population over the age of 65 will have a fall. Falls are the leading cause of death in adults over the age of 85. Approximately 350,000 hip fractures occur nationwide from falls.

ASPT strives to reduce the number of falls by giving talks on balance & offering advice on causes & treatments of balance disorders. We give back to the community by educating the public in prevention & control of pain & dysfunction, thereby hopefully reducing the necessity of surgeries.

ASPT Recently gave Injury Prevention talks to:

  • City of Fort Collins
