Dr. Gwynne Jones, PT, DPT
Dr. Gwynne Jones, DPT graduated from Regis University in Denver, CO in 2019 with her doctorate in physical therapy.
Gwynne grew up in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont with a sweet spot for maple syrup. She attended Muhlenberg College in Allentown, PA where she double majored in biology and dance. During her undergraduate career, she performed at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. and earned her BSc in Biology. Her love of movement and mountains lead her to Regis University’s DPT program. She gained clinical experience treating children and adults in various locations and settings including acute care, outpatient orthopedics, and outpatient neurological physical therapy. She takes a holistic approach with consideration for physical, emotional, and psychosocial wellbeing. She particularly enjoys enabling patients with neurological conditions to be confident and as independent as possible.
Gwynne has participated in the use of hippotherapy (using the movement of horses as a therapeutic intervention) with hopes that she will one day contribute to research regarding the efficacy of hippotherapy as an intervention for individuals with neurological conditions, such as Multiple Sclerosis, stroke, Parkinson’s Disease, vestibular impairment, and balance deficits. Prior to graduate school, Gwynne worked as a sea kayak tour guide on the coast of Maine and as a wrangler in Colorado’s Rocky Mountains. In her free time, she loves dancing, exploring in nature, and spending time with her two horses.
Gwynne joined Advanced Spine Physical Therapy in 2019.
